I'm trying to talk Patti Maxine, the Queen of Steel, into going with me to this festival. Are you going, KonaBob?

WHAT A BLAST !!!!
I haven't had this much fun in ages! Imagine being under the coco palms, with the ocean waves whispering nearby, sipping cocktails among old and new friends, and phenomenal, live Hawaiian music day and night.
Great shows, fun jams, way too much laughter, and the aloha was overwhelming.
The Ka'anapali Beach Hotel offers a Sunday Brunch that offers more ono dishes than I've ever seen in one place. The music started at 9 AM and continued until after 1 PM. we sat there, ate and drank champagne and were swept away by the aloha for over 4 hours. Probably gained some weight, too. Never got into my swimsuit, too many other things to enjoy.
I'm already planning next year's trip....
Julie
PS I learned a couple of things that made it all worth the price of the trip. (Admission to all the events was free. ) |

It was really fine! I had a wonderful time helping out and playing (even with mistakes). Congratulations to Addison, Alan, and all the folks who helped make it great! Next year! |

Ah, the mystery is finally solved! Julie, I couldn't remember where the discussion about KonaBob took place and I looked all over Facebook for it. It was here! All this so that we could identify some faces in the pictures - you're in quite a few of them!
Next year's festival will be on April 11-13 and there will be even more steel players performing.
Please visit the website to see pictures and video of this year's festival. http://www.mauisteelguitarfestival.com. |

KonaBob,
Let's definitely plan on next year. Several people left their mana on my Rick Fry Pan, so by next year, I should be dynamite!!!
