Aloha, I attended what was the first of many sessions. Got to meet some really nice people who love Hawaiian music. I had a great time and look forward to meeting everyone else sooner or later. |

It was good to see a few of you at the Salazar/Combs/Paiva show - especially since I haven't been to many kani lately. Sorry about injuring your eyesight with "Ulupalakua," however. |

The Seattle kani-group had a wonderful "emergency" session tonight! What a delight to meet and jam with Kenneth Makukane. Mahalo Kenneth and Tasha for sharing your music and aloha. Can't wait for you to visit again . . . please know you are always welcome!
And (as always) . . . plenty mahalos for Jean for opening her home and turning our emergency into a great opportunity.

Hana Hou!
I needed that emergency session last night, esp. since I will be on an airplane again next week!. Thanks Aunty Jean for the quick thinking by suggesting and hosting the emergency session and Mahalo nui to Ken Makuakane and his lovely wife for being such wonderful and gracious special guest - (imagine, they didn't even laugh once --- first that is - not until after we laughed first of course). They are way too good for us - for sure.
And sorry for not following the rules, as always, its a dog gone bad habit! I get soooooooo excited Weeeeeeee Haaaaaaaaa!!!
Aloha!

Anyone interested in a fill-in Kanikapila around June 30th? For us unlucky ones that can't go to Aloha Music Camp. Seems like a long break until the next official one at Auntie Jean's. |
