I know its still nine months away, but I have to let the cat out of the bag:
Next summer's Lark Camp will feature slack key guitar, `ukulele.... and hula! Maui's own Kevin Brown will return to teach ki ho`alu and share songs. And I will be sponsoring Robyn Mahelani Kneubuhl to gift us with her lovely voice, outstanding `ukulele playing and hula.
Robyn is teaching again at February's Aloha Camp -- she's a great teacher and an awesome talent. It is an honor to have her come share her aloha with us next summer on the mainland.
This is a dream come true for me -- I have been trying to get Hawaiian music included in the Lark curriculum for over a decade. Last year Kevin was voted the most popular instructor in camp -- that's all three camps! Now you'll be able to study hula under the redwoods, and kani kapila all day (and all night).
I'll be teaching ki ho`alu and `ukulele, and Annie & I will once again host the `Ukulele Happy Hour.
