A friend passed on some information about this event. It's a hula competition and festival on Hawaii with workshops in hula, lei making, oli and more. Looks interesting.
Their 2nd Festival is planned for November 8 -12, 2007.
I went to the first one last year and it was wonderful .. small, but amazing. It was great to see the Kanakaole halau performing the more modern Auana style of hula in addition to their usual mind ancient Kahiko style.
