I just thought I'd comment on the class that George gave us last Tuesday night at The Loft in Torrance. There were 5 of us there (6 if you include Daniel) of Very Different skill levels and varying skills. The subject he chose for us was how to play with ukuleles. What a great lesson! We tuned taropatch down to F. Good place to start since of course that's one of the favorite keys for ukes since many can sing in that key and it's really easy to play. They we worked up and down the neck and in and out of minor chords. When I first met Keith I wondered why he tuned there and used the capo to play in taropatch and it was clear then, and it's abundantly clear now. I've been working toward being able to play and sing... very slow progress... The ukulele players bring the songs with them when they join the slackers. Lotsa fun! Must be time for another kanikapila!!!
Thanks Uncle George!
