Join us in Chicago for a great night of classes and kanikapila.
Friday Aug. 7th, as part of Hula Association Midwest 3rd Annual
Hawaiian Hula Days Weekend, we will be having an intro class with
Uncle Calvin Lee and then class with Kumu Uluwehi Guerrero !!
Afterwards is jammin' time !!!

Oh yeah. Duh, why I did not look at the profile. Sometimes I scare myself I am so dumb. I think he is the guy we met at the hula workshop in February -- the guy that Paul jammed with. He lives Wooster, OH, I think, down in Amish country, about an hour and a half south west of us. But he likes dakine music. Paul was supposed to send him an e-mail about getting together. Well, we will have to rectify that matter after we get back from our hele fo da mele. Maybe September, I have one lu`au at my hale.

Wow ! What a weekend. Uluwehi Guerrero is not only an incredible falsetto singer and great ukulele teacher, but a real fun,down-to-earth
guy. We had super kanikapila with him on Friday night. The one after the Makaha Sons concert on Saturday was still going when I left about 3:30am ! Lots of old songs you don't hear anymore. |
