The preliminary ballots for this year's Na Hoku Hanohano Awards are being mailed out today. These contain the lists of recordings & artists who are eligible for nomination -- voters will choose 5 nominees within each category.
The actual nomination ballots are scheduled to be mailed out the last week in April. Wheeeeeeeeeeee!
Have you joined the Na Hoku Festival Community yet? This year's event will be a first -- starting Thursday May 27 with a rooftop party at the Hawai`i Convention Center in Honolulu, then workshops, mini-concerts, the Lifetime Achievement Award luncheon on Saturday May 29, and the Na Hoku Awards event on Sunday May 30. If you are a voting member of HARA and have not received your ballot by early next week, please let the office know immediately:
email info @ nahokuhanohano.org or call 808-593-9424. If office is closed, just leave your name, mailing address, and call-back phone number.
And a reminder -- Na Hoku Hanohano Awards will be given on Sunday of Memorial Day weekend (May 30). |
