Talk to Rick Jitchaku who plays with Auntie Geri in Mehana. Mitch Chang is also an excellent teacher. There are regular classes at Island Legends on Artesia in Gardena; Contact Todd. Or contact Shirley at Island Bazaar in Huntington Beach. That should get you started. |

Uke fever has swept the southland for the last 80 yrs or so, sometimes more than others. I finally have an old book that describes regular tuning (A,D,F#,B) vs taropatch tuning (G,C,E,A). 50 yrs ago we learning standard tuning/ only started running across the lower tuning in the '70s. n |
