"From Our House to Yours" Contest
We've teamed up with Ukulele Underground to give you a chance to win this beautiful Mya-Moe Tenor Ukulele. From our last newsletter, you know that we just introduced our all-Myrtle NW Aloha Series. The inspiration behind this series started with our home in the Pacific Northwest. Myrtle grows plentifully along the Southern Oregon Coast and it's absolutely gorgeous in looks and, more importantly, tone. It is available in a wide range of color tones & figuring. In naming it the "Northwest Aloha Series", we honor where the wood grows and pay homage to the traditional all-koa instrument.
This particular instrument, the grand prize for our video competition, is the very first all-myrtle tenor tradition we made - a collector's item. The wood has amazing curl and the instrument comes in a premium hard case complete with humidity & temperature sensors.
As far as the contest goes... since the inspiration for our NW Aloha was that it was made of wood from our home, we thought we'd carry that theme into the contest. Simply record & submit a video of a song about your town/area/home. It can be a cover or an original, instrumental or with lyrics. And the "town/area/home" notion is a very loose one - it could even be as broad as something about this planet. We're looking for something creative & heartfelt - your personal interpretation of home.
