This week on Pakele Live! with Tony Solis we’re hosting Kamuela Kahoano’s CD release party for his new album “Stream Dreams.” Special guests include MānoaDNA, Analogic, Jason Tom, and a number of surprises...
Son of famed MC Kimo Kahoano and brother to Ikaika Kahoano (of “Making the Band” fame), Kamuela is a much-in-demand performer. A singer-songwriter as well as an award-winning producer, he has over 900 gigs to his credit in the last 3 years alone – and he’s only 29 years old.
Dubbed the “happy music maker” as a symphonic composer when he attended UH Manoa, Kamuela has since grown considerably in his performance variety, singing leo ki’eki’e (Hawaiian falsetto) and playing solo ‘ukulele and slack key guitar, in addition to alternative and rock/reggae. He has written and co-written (with artists from all over the U.S.) over 200 songs and musical poems. He also currently serves as frontman to the up-and-coming Hawai’i rock band “The Analogic.” His producer/production credits include a number of CDs and several music videos, including one that was created to help promote “Summer Fun in Hawaii” that stars Lenny and the SKIM and the children of the MVDP summer fun program.
Join host Tony Solis for Pakele Live! on Thursday, September 30 from 6-8 p.m. HST in the Pakele Lounge at the Ala Moana Hotel (410 Atkinson Dr., Honolulu). There is no cover charge or minimum, although your purchase of two drinks or soft drinks helps ensure the continuation of the Pakele Live! concert series.
