When I come on the forum, I see most of the Hawaiian artists appearing on both coasts or in the south. Is anyone coming to the midwest around Chicago in the near future? Dennis hasn't been here in over a year. Makaha Sons haven't been here in over a year and I haven't seen much of anyone in this area.
If any of you are coming, let us know so we can come.
Auntie Mapuana De Silva will be in Cleveland for the Hula workshop this January. I don't think any musicians are coming with her this year. 6 years since the last Hawaiian Concert here. Unko Paul

How far are you willing to travel? I guess the posting aged off or something because I can't find it now, but Keola Beamer is coming to the immediate Harrisburg, PA area next Feb 20 courtesy of the Susquehanna Folk Music Society. And it's cheap - only $22 for adults! That's a Sunday, but the next day is a federal holiday. Depending on who you work for, that could be a travel day.
In October, Uluwehi Guerrero will be teaching a hula workshop 8-10 October (very soon!) at the Westin Chigao Northwest. The workshop is being put on by Hula Assoc. of the Midwest. I believe Saturday night is a concert and I believe price is very reasonable. And I believe he is one amazing talent.
