Stone face or otherwise, I'm glad my brother's "infernal device" is getting used. It sat for the majority of 50 years since Alan regularly played it. It came out once every few years, and gathered dust the rest of the time. Enjoy yourself, slipry1! Unko Paul |

I can not hear or see it right, for the next two chords until you go back to the V. I will watch the other video and see if that helps clear it up. It will take me many moons to get it smoothly as you, though. My stone face includes a really unflattering frown as well.... Mahalo

There used to be a YouTube video by Slowhandeagle that helped me learn the piece, his technique is very clean. I just looked but could not find it, hopefully Shuji can upload it again.

Ozzie told us that "My Old Guitar" and a large portion of the other cuts on that album, were improvised in the studio, under some duress. There is some of his tab of that floating around, but only after Oz went back and figured out what he did. The tabs are not precise versions of the sounds you hear on the CD. If you can find a copy you are very lucky. Personally, I wouldn't try to bother him about getting one. But, that's just me. In addition, as many have said, it is not in the tradition to copy note for note what another artist has done. Make it your own (right Slack Key Bill?).

Still alive my friend. Still trying to make Hawaiian sounds sound like Hawaiian sounds.
OTW, Only need to post when a post adds something. (I hope).
