This awesome festival took place yesterday at the Kauai Beach Festival. Performers were Sandy & Doug McMaster, Dwight Kanae, Patrick Landeza, Danny Carvalho, Paul Togioka, David Kahiapo, Norman Kaawa Solomon, Jim Kimo West, Stephen Inglis, Cindy Combs, Bobby Moderow, LT Smooth, Makana, Dennis Kamakahi, Brother Noland and Keale & Chris Lau. Six hours of heavenly music. For me the highlights were the exceptional slack key performances of Danny Carvalho and Makana. They take it to a yet higher level. The festival was dedicated to Andy Irons, Kauai's legendary surfer who passed away unexpectedly on November 2.

Yup he did. He was first up so he could get back to his regular gig in Hanalei at 3:00PM.
