Gee Wanda,
Here, we know that Christmas will be clear and bright
Sun will shine by day and all the stars at night!

The Kona Hotel is only $30 a night for doubles.

Aloha,
-Konabob

Oh Konabob, how cruel to rub it in. But what a deal on the hotel. Is that a nice hotel? I mean you couldn't even stay at the Bates Motel for that price, no?

It is a "historic" hotel... built in 1926, and still owned by the same family. A few years ago I wrote a song about it, and went down to the hotel to play it for Mr and Mrs Inaba who originally built the place. The two of them used to sit in their chairs by the front door. They were always holding hands, smiling and waving at people driving by. It was the inspiration for my song. After I played them the song, Mr. Inaba got up and went back to the kitchen. He returned with 4 large jars of mango chutney that he had made. It was the best payment for a song I ever received. He died a few months later at 90 something, but Mrs. Inaba still waves at me every time I drive by.
Aloha,
-Konabob

Kona Bob, that song is, well..., one of the best you ever wrote, according to me. (I like the chicken one, too). Tell us the story of the ugly pink paint. It bears repeating. You are so amazingly talented. Will you please please please please please come to Napili for Georgieʻs camp this year? We really miss you and Shirley. Aloha!
