Chris Yeaton and Andy Rising, both Hawaii born, bring an incredibly fresh approach to the sounds of Ki'ho'alu, slack key guitar. Andy Rising a classically trained cellist combines his love and knowledge of music on the cello with the progressive edge that Yeaton (protégé of Kumu Keola Beamer and John Keawe) brings to the world of slack key. Trading back and forth form instrument to instrument their independent styles weave together a beautiful tapestry of slack key and American fingerstyle guitar. Together they explore the music and stories of Hawaii filling the room with breathtakingly beautiful music that moves their listening audiences to a place of imagination! Join us this evening at the Atherton Studio for very special evening of acoustic excellence!
As a student of Keola Beamer,John Keawe, Alex de Grassi and Peppino d'Agostino, Chris Yeaton has woven together an amazing tapestry of music on the solo guitar. Join him this evening for a special acoustic event, for evening solo acoustic excellence.
