                      | Hey Wanda
Maybe the next project can be a supplemental listing of other songs in the Dr Cookie book that are not included in He Mele Aloha?

                      | Hey Wanda, in your spare time how about doing the same thing for "The Queen's Songbook". |

                      | Smart guy, Dukie. I was going to start with the Dr. Cookie book but didn't know if people are supposed to know about the Dr. Cookie Book. But that is easily enough remedied, that is if Dr. Cookie would like it done.
And Norman, you think you one wise guy? I was thinking about that very thing as I lay in the shampoo bowl at the hairdresser today. Paul and I were talking at lunch that there may be many of the Queen's mele never recorded.

                      | Wanda, I was only being semi wise (about all I can muster these days) about "The Queen's Songbook". You are right about many of them not being recorded, but it would be nice to see the ones that have been done. |

                      | Might as well go thru Huapala.org while you're at it Aunty Wanda. Just kidding, you're busy enough as it is shoveling snow and what not, haha. |

                      | No worry, Derek. I start working on it now. Hana pau`ole. As long as songs keep getting written. And videos keep getting made.
OK, so now speaking of videos, Ke Kani Nahe should get to work and put up some new songs. Give us some vids of Nico's.

And I never shovel snow. That is man's work.

                      | Six MORE weeks of winter? I've cooked & eaten groundhog before, might have to make 'em scarce around here! Auntie can do song stuffs, since I would type the links wrong any way. Just don't wish more snow on me. Unko Paul

                      | Mahalo!!!! This is wonderful. As a new student of slack key this is a fantastic help. I second the others, especially slipry1 and Peter...knowing the verse and hearing the tune really helps to do the phrasing correctly while playing. I am psyched!

                      | Mahalo, mahalo, Ricdoug! I went back and edited the list to add the links you had that were on You Tube. I sincerely appreciate that you found more stuff. The midi files on huapala.org I did not include because I just cannot abide the sound of them. They sound horrible and to me do not even sound like the mele. I wanted to get vocals wherever I could because the whole idea for me as a non-native Hawaiian speaker is that I want to hear how the phrasing and the pronunciation are supposed to sound. The Josh Cho link for Maui No Ka `Oi did not work for me. And the one for I Mua Kamehameha is not a video on You Tube, so I did not add that to the edited list, but glad you posted the link anyhow. The ones that are not You Tube, at least people can search TaroPatch and then the search results would point them to this thread and they will be able to find the stuff.
Team work! Woo-hoo. I'd love to see all the blanks filled in.

Thank you again. And after pau making my Welcome Spring cards and my Happy Easter cards and all the jillion March birthday cards, then I just might actually work on the Queen's songs.

                      | Aloha Auntie.
Maui No Ka `Oi is on this page. I guess it won't allow a direct link:

I hope others follow your lead and post links for the few you did not find. Ric
