Shirley and I drove down Alii Drive around noon. Town was bustling, and though there are several areas that suffered damage (King Kamehameha Beach Hotel, Kona Inn Shopping Village, and a few small low laying areas such as Kahalu'u Beach Park), the town looked pretty darn good to us. http://www.konaweb.com/index.shtml#WEBCAM
We were especially pleased to see that the Keauhou Outrigger Resort was in fine shape! This means my Sunday gigs will still be played, and more importantly, there will be friends from all over, visiting to learn slack key, steel, and ukulele come June.
