Aloha from San Jose, CA
Just a friendly posting my band "Ku'u Aloha" will be performing @ Lake Cunningham for the "Day In The Park : Multi-Cultural Festival" on October 18, 2003.
I believe we have a short set around 11:15 to 12ish(mainland time) before the announcers start to talk. Oh yea, there is Free food by the San Jose Fire fighters and free pumpkins for the kids as well as lots of craft booths. If we sound bad please dont throw poi at us , but if you like the music please stop by and introduce yourself as we are here to preserve the music and share the culture.
We are not pros just a ragtag family band with alot of heart. "Ku'u Aloha" consists of the band members : Little Uncle Cisco Bunac on Soprano Uke, Big Uncle George on Baritone Uke, Sistah Julie on vocals, Blues bassist Robert Rose, and me Steve Sun on guitar. We might have a special appearance by 70's recording studio drummer Dave Kilmer. Last but not in the least Auntie Loida's hula dancers (Julie, Lisa, Laura, Sarah, Penny, and possibly Julie's daughter)
