We wanted to say Aloha and let you know that Keola Beamer will soon be performing a series of concerts in Japan. Keola will be appearing with his wife - Moanalani and jazz-bassist, John Kolivas.

I just saw this today from Nahenahe (the "other Keola's" site). It's driving me crazy, because Keola and Moana are having workshops eight hours away on the 27th, but I don't think I can go. Because of work and the weekend before is our Aloha Festival. So here, listen to me go WAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH! (hopefully in harmony to something, with a rolling bass). I could be DANCING TO MY OWN VAMPS!!! (Yeah, RIGHT!). I can just see that, trying to dance Hula while I play pinky-barres! No. Ain't gonna happen!
Meanwhile, it remaineth my PIPE DREAM to see Ludwig von Beamer LIVE and have Moana fine-tune this Amazon Cowgirl who is all thumbs trying to look "graceful". Until then, I'm still in the pipe.
P.S. MIKE BONNICE, if you are in here, if you are going to Beamer Workshops at Whittier, I would be interested. Don't know yet if it will work out. Mahalo, Brahddah. One deez days you actually gonna see us DANCE :) We're in the middle of learning a Hula Ipu, trying to get my U's and K's at the right time! We're gonna do a big group Hula Kahiko at Aloha Festival, then you play/we dance at Ho'ike Luau. Meanwhile we kick out da jams :) and Kumi straightens us out. Also meanwhile I gotta make all da COSTUMES (I mean jes mine, but dat's plenny nuff to keep me busy!) Can leave note at Halau, I guess. March is coming up too fast at the moment.
