Aloha everyone, I flash back to when my uncle, who still surfs at age 74 by the way, use to make us pick-up empty single-lip "Primo" bottles where ever he saw them. He would turn the bottles in for money to buy more "Primo" beer. I can recall as a young boy running across the H2 freeway to fetch a single bottle. Mahalo uncle for the latent evasive training that I later used as an adult while hunting pheasants on the island of Kauai. Have a good kanikapila!

Ho, Mainkaukau...aloha that "flash back". My tutu had me do that, too. Along with some "baby" Miller's and Lowenbraus. Those were the days. A hui hou, Keali'i.

Howzit K, forgot I posted here. Yeah, those hats were cool! I never had one, but all my uncles and aunties had em. Ey, you still have some? I smell an EBay transaction coming?

This announcement was in todays "West Hawaii Today" newspaper. Ginger beer is really great on a hot tropical day.
I like to support the Brewing Company here in Kona - especially when they make my favorite beers :)

Kona Brewing's ginger beer named best spice beer:
Kona Brewing Co.'s seasonal Big Island Ginger Beer recently was named the best spice beer in the NorthwesWacific region at the United States Beer Tasting Championships (USBTC) 10th annual winter session competition.
The brewery's Old Blowhoie Barley Wine also received an honorable mention. The winning beers will be featured in an upcoming issue of the nationally distributed magazine, All About Beer.
The local company's Longboard Lager also Iecently was awarded the silver medal at the Portland, Ore.. Spring Beer and Wine Festival. Dubbed the nation's largest springtime festival dedicated to the world of alcoholic beverages, the event drew 50 breweries from across the country pouring more than 100 types of beer.
Kona Brewing Co. recently began disnibuting its Longboard Lager and Fire Rock Pale Ale in
Oregon.
