Aloha E,
Hey Andy guys, I found the spot on www.soundclick.com, specifically at
http://www.soundclick.com/pro/?BandID=38765
The uploads were most impressive. Obviously a great deal of effort and just good 'ol talent thrown in for good measure.
As a newbie to taropatch.net, my question is: was that just a one-time thing or is that sort of the designated place where you guys drop off your latest opus?
By the way - sorry for so many posts, but this forum seemed pretty cool and generally flame adverse. I've read many of the existing posts in some detail, and there is a marked absense of ego here contrary to some of the newsgroups that I participated in. Quite refreshing, as one grows accustomed to that maybe 1% or 2% of kukai-breath people who spoil it for others...
Mahalo,

Ted, the SoundClick page is an ongoing thing even though nobody has contributed anything lately. I'm the guy in charge of it, so if you have something you want to add just send it to me at craig(at)patchett.com. I'll take whatever format you have and will even accept tapes or CDs (email me for my mailing address if that's the case). Also include the name you want posted with the song, a photo you want posted with it (I'll pick something scenic if you don't have one), and some brief info on who wrote the song, what tuning it's in, and why you like it (or why you wrote it if it's an original). Also let me know if you don't want it to be available for download as an MP3. To avoid copyright issues, the song either needs to be original, an original arrangement, or you need to get permission from the original artist to post it.
This goes for anyone who would like to add their talent to the SoundClick page. (Also let me know if you'd like to make something available for comment/feedback but don't want it to go on SoundClick.)
Finally, email me if you are interested in a copy of the SoundClick songs on CD (if you have a slow Internet connectoin or for whatever reason). |

Thanks a lot for the info Craig. I'm going to run off now and lay down a track or two.
BTW, I just read your profile esp.: "I have way too many guitars (eventually I'll seek therapy)"
I wanted to share a line which I've been using on my wife for years with good effect: "Eh honey, a guy can only have one spouse, but can have as many musical instruments as he likes, right?"

Ted, never worry about the number of your posts. Everybody here wants to hear from other Slackers. Also, about too many guitars: my wife has more than I do, but that is because she is *lots* better than I am. There is *never* any problem with more fine guitars finding their way into our house.
And Craig... if you find someone like Sarah, you won't ever have to use that line. It might even be the other way around :-)
