Hello all! This is my first post to the Taro Patch, as I just registered. I came by this site on the recommendation of Terry and others at the San Diego slack-key club. Terry was kind enough to invite me to their meeting last week, and that was my first exposure to the slack-key style. I was inspired by their playing, and got some great tips on getting started. I just ordered the "Ozzie" book, which is apparently a the place to start. I am looking forward to getting my feet wet! From looking around, this site appears to be a great resource, so I'm sure I will be reading and posting as I go along.
Now, how do I tune this thing to open G again....?

Hey Rob...it was great to see you the other night. Don't listen to Piff...he's just jealous! To tune to open G just drop your 1st and 6th strings from E to D and your 5th string from A to G |
Craig My goal is to be able to play as well as people think I can. |
