Maybe see some of you there? I'm bringing my guitar and a good appetite! Oh yeah, I'm bringing food too. -AndyHawai`i Potluck Picnic Central Park JUNE 6, 2004
Please join us for the annual Hawai’i potluck picnic in Central Park on Sunday, June 6 from 12 noon until whenever. Everyone is invited to dance hula or play some Hawaiian music so bring your mele hula and instruments. There will be a CD player and small sound system available.
It’s a potluck so bring your favorite local dish to share and your own non-alcoholic beverages. The picnic will take place rain or shine. No reservations necessary.
Enter Central Park at the Columbus Circle entrance at 59th Street and Central Park West. The picnic site is just east of the main pathway and south of Park Drive.
Sorry, I should have emailed you. The weather was damp and cool all day but 100-150 people still braved the weather. There were lots of food, music and hula. Paul Guanzon of 1010Wins Radio was kind to bring and share his own PA system and entertained everyone with his guitar/singing. Darin and his friend Matt brought the house down.
I have some photos that I can post later. It was a good time. Hopefully, next year you won't have to work that day?
