Aloha kakou,

Hey, is there a Waihe`e jam anytime soon?

A friend, Mike, from stateside, is over on Maui now, and called asking if Waihe`e kanikapila is happening this weekend, or this week?
Is there just the one church in Waihe`e? So's he could find it.
Please let me know so I can call him back.
It was pouring last time I was on Maui so I still never been to one!
Lucky for us Kevin met us in Lahaina to talk story andplay some next day; thanks Kevin, that was fun.

Mahalo,
Ross

I tried e-mailing you but it would'nt go through. Wanted to let you know, I got together with Mike and Betty Perkins.

Spent almost the whole day with them playing music and talking story.
They have beautiful voices, Mike plays a mean ki ho'alu too. Mahalo for giving them my number. Wish you were here.

Kevin,

Thank you for the wonderful day of trading music, instruments and stories. It's an honor to hear the stories of your family and how the music is being passed on through the generations, sometimes with help and sometimes in spite of the obstacles.

I sincerely hope that we will get to play together again, and that we all have an opportunity to see you in California.

Our best to you and your family,
Mike & Betty

OK Kanaka kakou,

So what time on Saturday does the kanikapila start?

We need to know because our Saturday next (the 19th
of June) is rapidly filling up and we would like to
make it to the jam. My recollection is around 1PM
to 4PM but I am not sure. Last year we showed up and
no one was there, but we hung out for about an hour
and someone showed up. I don't remember what time it
was !

Aloha, Lawrence and Cynthia

I gave Cathy Glass, Slack Key Bills cell number.
He's going to be holding down the forth while some
of us are away.

Give Bill a call, He might want to start it before 1:00.
Wish i could be at waihee with all of you.

Have a great time on Maui, We'll see you on the 27th. ( concert.)

Aloha, Mike & Betty

Mahalo for lunch, and giving up your last day to have me come over.
I enjoyed your singing! I had such a great time singing and playing
music with the both of you.

Mike you are a great musician, Betty you can play the uke, and sing too.
If i'm ever up your part of town, I'll be sure to let you know ahead of time.

It was a long day for me, but a special one too. Hope you had a good flight home. Looking forward to seeing the both of you again.

Some friends jus got into Maui. Ketih Marzullo and Susie. Also Dusty from taropatch. Looking forward to spending time with them too.

Again mahalo, Mike and Betty for a great time!

Me Ke Aloha
