The 10th Annual San Francisco Aloha Festival will be held this year on Aug 7 & 8. Two days of performances (26 individuals, groups and halau) - vendors and food -- all free.
On Sat. Aug 7 I will be playing a slack key set at 11:00 AM. I'll be doing a mix of a few old favorites and some stuff written and arranged for this event.
Saturday will be a great day -- 'cause Patrick Landenza is also scheduled (at 1:30) and the Na Leo Nahenehe choir, in which some taropatchers sing, is also scheduled (at 11:30.)
And for those who've never attended this grand event before, bring plenny money -- 125 product vendors this year, and 15 food vendors (yum!)
I'll be there in spirit!!

FYI As usual, the SF Aloha Festival will also feature plenty of hula. My daughter's halau (Na Mamo O Ke Anuenue A Kamakani) will be performing along with the Ka Ehu Kai band.
Just want to remind SF Bay Area folks -- this coming weekend is the Aloha Festival -- It looks like I will be the first act up on Sat Aug 7 -- at 11:00 AM -- so there will probably be enough lawn space available. Na Leo Choir follows me at 11:30 -- Patrick Landenza at 1:30. Lots of other performers, vendors and food.
Please say "Aloha" after my set, but please don't be offended if I have forgotten your name -- I am terrible with names and faces.
