And also tonight... What is the name of the Hapa tune that continually builds with EVERYTHING BUT THE KITCHEN SINK...including banjo, fiddle, a percussion drum (Native?) and blues harp? I've bought 2 HAPA CD'S and didn't find it on those... I was given a (paid for) download of this tune, but with no cover info. Words something like:
He no him no He ke apu (syllabic approximation) ...nui ke aloha ...yada yada yada (approximate East Coast interpretation!)
Ka Uluwehi O Ke Kai is the one where the banjo and harmoica are used. Seems to be a favorite of a lot of dancers. Fun to dance. Fun to play. Fun to sing.
