Kevin,

I should have known you would be on this site. How's it going with the hawaiian steel guitar? Last time I saw you, you had just gotten it and was getting into it. Any chance you'll be performing at the BHS Mayday Kanikapila?

Aloha , Old poi dog

Wow! it's nice to see someone that i once worked with on taropatch. How long have you been a member? still keeping up with your slack key?

We live on the same island and i'm asking you all these question. haa! haa!

Theres something broiling in the oven for us that might take us through the 1st of May. I heard through my sister that they had us on the program last year, but know one contacted us. ( the event must be getting bigger.) We'll make it one of these day's.

As for the steel guitar, the last time we talked is the last time i played it. It kinda comes in spurts, I'll play it for one month and then put it away for 1 year. haa! haa!

I had it tucked away behind my bedroom door for about 3 years, must've forgotten all about it, and one day i was trying to get into the room and could'nt open the door all the way. When i finally got in, i saw my steel guitar in the case laying on the floor. ( don't know if that was a sign.)

I picked it up, opened the case, and started to play it again. I have it set up right behind the computer, So for every time i get on the computer or off the computer i give it a few strums. It's nice to be playing it again. ( it's been over a month now.)

Val, remember the old jam sessions at the baily house before, we'll it's now held every saturdays at waihee, right next to the school.
If you have time come over, we're there from 11am to 6pm.

We're at the maui mall this saturday, after that we're heading out to waihee about 2pm. Infact, it's slack key week at the maui mall.
" Hele mai " come join us.

Malama Pono!
Kevin... give my aloha to Tim and the gang.

Aloha Kevin!
Are you going back to Maui after camp?
By the way, my nephew Joe's boy is named Bailey because his mom is a direct descendent... It's a small world over there even if you folks don't know each other...
Last year I introduced one set of cousins to another set of cousins who'd seen each other around for years....
Do you know those folks who have the huge all yellow plumeria in their front yard along Waihe'e? There's a smaller one across the street... I'd sure like a cutting!!!
I've met Keith - he's awesome!! Mark did a good job on the Camp website by describing the nice people and aloha spirit!
See you in June - unless you come up this way -

Aloha, Aunty!

You have added the sweetness of the "pua keni keni" flower since you've been on taropatch. ( my favorite flower.) Looking forward to meeting you in June. I have seen many of your thread on taropatch, and like keith said, we have a lot in common.

Where does your nephew live on maui? I just met a friend from ohio through taropatch, his name is mark laskey, he came to maui for a convention. While talking with him online he said he had family that lives on maui, only to find out, I went to school with one of his cousins, yes! it is a small world. I bet i must've met your nephew once or twice, maui is small, but growing fast!

I'll be coming home after the camp, the next day is my cousins duaghters graduation party, yes! when your family, you have to play. ( music.)

Something is brewing, we may just meet before june. Where is manhatten beach, cali.? I'm looking forward to meeting you and also your," ha'i mo'olelo " ( story telling.)

By the way, the big plumeria tree in waihee? thats my cousins tree.( alan apo.) and the one across the street? my 5th grade teachers. ( mrs. correa.) Aunty your right! it is a small world.

Me Ke Aloha
Kevin
