I am really excited!
Last weekend we had the Slack Key Institute in Waimea - I got to meet Rossasaurus and also Tania and Mark from TaroPatch. I also stumbled across Dennis Kamakahi backstage playing guitar all by himself and whipped out my ol' steel guitar for a couple of songs. Thanks Dennis.
So this weekend it's the Ukulele Guild of Hawaii (UGH!) Annual Exhibition (http://www.ukuleleguild.org/) in Waikiki. Dennis Lake and I are flying over for the weekend (Nov 20 - 21). I also met Kimo Hussey last weekend, and got to play with him. He helped write the book "He Mele Aloha - A Hawaiian Songbook" (http://www.hawaiimusicmuseum.org/news/kanikapila.html) which any lover of Hawaiian music would be thrilled to get for Christmas. He plays a very fine and subtle ukulele style and will be performing this weekend as will Byron Yasui and Jim Beloff. I can't imagin a better way to spend a weekend...
I wish all of you could be here. If some of you make it, please come by and see Dennis Lake and I at our table. I will be the one with the bass and a big grin on my face. Aloha, -Konabob

Hey KonaBob!
I didn't know you're going!!! I'll be playing there on Sunday at the exhibition from 10 - 11 am. We actually leave today at 2:00.
We'll be sure to run into you!
See you then!

Brittni! You rock, gal! I am sure you made a lot of friends over in Honolulu. Every time I saw you, there seemed to be a crowd. Thanks for giving me a pa'ani during the jam. I hope I get a chance to play with you again some time. I don't know if I can keep up with your lightning fast stuff, but on your nahenahe songs I might have a chance. I had such a great time this weekend - and I sold 6 of my stick basses too. That means I will definitely be going again next year! Give my best to your roadie - she is a real jewel. Aloha, -Konabob |

KonaBob, Thank you so much for your kind words! I really appreciate it. Yeah, it was so much fun! Your Pa`ani was awesome!!! It matched so well with the song! Well, gotta go. It's starting to storm (lightning and thunder kind).
By the way, mom said thank you!
