I'm visiting the Sebastopol area for a while, from Eugene, OR, and would like to find others in the area to play with. I have some book and workshop time in and finally have gotten where I can play three songs now without looking at tab, and even made some changes! That's where I'm at. How about you?
Also, we've got a group going back in Eugene too if you know anyone there.

Hi Ross, do you know Dan Sythe? He lives in Sebastopol, and I first met him at the Aloha Music Camp, August 2001. A wonderful musician.
If you do not know him, let me know, I'll dig up info on him. You don't have a date for your visit specified. When are you coming to sunny CA?
Aloha, Julie

You should be able to track Dan Sythe down at his web site www.slackkey.net. I had the pleasure of strumming along with Dan as he sang Ka Uluwehi O Ke Kai... while Julie danced the hula at the Aug. 2001 camp talent show. Say aloha to Dan if you see him.

Hi Julie,
You are the julie from the Mauian in June for George's workshop, aren't you?
Yes I know Dan; I shared the room with him at the Mauian. He's a busy guy these days.
I believe you and I were struggling in the same beginners classes together. I had the Martin Backpacker(stick) guitar; tall, quiet guy.
I just met-up with Patrick Landeza tonight, oops, last night now, is it really 2:30 Sunday!? with his band at the Hukilau in SF playing varied tunes.
It was fun, though I'm really NOT a bar kinda guy!

Oh, I guess the above explains that I'm here in Sebastopol now. I head back to Eugene for a week starting Tuesday, then back here again about the 9th.

Must go to bed.
Bye
