Aloha All!

You requested him and here he is with his family! Since this is is first time performing on the mainland, he's going to need a lot of support so come out to one of the shows!

To all the Bay Area folks, since I have received numerous requests for parties and kanikapilas for Kevin and his family, I rented out a pub which has its own private club attached. This will be an open mic as well as a celebration for the Brown Ohana in San Leandro on April 24! This event is not to be missed! If you have any questions feel free to contact me!

Hi Patrick,

How exciting Kevin's touring California and Oregon - at last! Thank you for making this possible. Can't wait to see him and Ikaika and Kaena at the Little Fox on April 20th.

What a WONDERFUL idea to host a kanikapila/open mic/celebration in San Leandro! Mahalo for creating this event. I'd really like to attend! However, Sunday, April 24th is the same day as the annual Northern California 'Ukulele Festival in Hayward and it won't be over until 6 PM. Any chance the celebration could be extended beyond 6 PM, or start later or something so that those of us who attend and/or perform at the Festival could participate in the celebration since it's just down the road in San Leandro

This is as far north as the tour gets - so I'm inviting everyone in Eugene, Salem, Portland. Enjoy a beautiful Spring drive through the mountains and come on down to sunny Southern Oregon!

The annual SOU Luau in Ashland is scheduled for April 30 - don't know yet if the Brown Family will play there. But it's a great deal of fun with tons of food and music and dancers. So why not make a weekend of it?

If time permits I'll find a spot for some good family-style kani kapila - say at a shady riverside park?

cheers,

Mark

Do you have any details on that? I can't find it on the SOU web page.

Rick

p.s There seems to be a lot of students from Hawaii at SOU.

WoW!!!
What a show! I didn't get home 'til 3:00 AM so WOW is a good start. I've seen quite a few concerts this Spring, and in many ways, this was the best. It was listening and enjoying music - not show-off music. It was gentle and kind, lively and funny. and it's a family affair - so fun, so open, so up-beat and full of love - for each other for all of us, and for the 'aina.
And thanks to Don Narup and Ianui Productions for setting up and coordinating an event that went off without a hitch. The Halau danced beautifully and perfectly to Ohana Brown music. No ka bes'!!
My only regret is that they are in town for such a short time; we were nowhere near satiated - must come back soon!!! Stay longer - not just Friday night concert -
Mahalo nui loa for all who participated in making this come true!
