As of yesterday, my Dobro is now in C13, Bb,E,G,A,C,E. The guitar is now on my couch. I play it and am mezmerized by the cool possibilities.

Ah, but it's a long, slipry slope once you start the ride!

It's been a while, but I want to report that Bobby Ingano told me that he uses the C13 tuning exclusively these days, from bottom to top Bb C E G A C E G, on his Rickenbacker 8. He told me that that was what Gabby used on his 8. I've also change my other neck to the Jerry Byrd B11 tuning so I can play "Howw'd Ya Do" in A and smoe of the oldeer tunes as well. As of late, I'm working on "Maui Chimes" and "The Honolulu March" in A, since the top 3 strings are an A6.

Wow, Basil, Thanks for posting!!! That's quite a version of Maui Chimes!!! It's a song I heard in the early '70s (forget who recorded it) and it's been one of my favorites. How nice to have another steel player; they are few and far between.
