Aloha everyone,
Mark your calendars for "Hawaiian Music in the Redwoods" on Sunday July 17 Saturday, July 16th for a wonderful day of Hula, Ki Ho 'Alu and Ukelele, on the beautiful patio at La Honda House Cafe, in the Redwoods of La Honda, California.
George Kahumoku, Jr and Daniel Ho will offer workshops in Slack Key and Ukelele for $35 each. Please reserve a space if you are interested, as classes usually fill up.
George and Daniel will perform a concert in the afternoon, along with Hula by Leolani Lowery and Hula Halau Ka Lei Wehi O ka Maile.
This is a benefit for Heffalump Nursery School.
More details later...mark your calendars NOW.
(NOTE: this is separate from Aloha in the Redwoods 2005, which is also already scheduled for September 18 with Ledward Ka'apana performing at La Honda Gardens! You may want to mark that on your calendar too!)
See you there...
Mahalo,
Karen

Mahalo BWOP - I look forward to meeting you one of these days. Keola's also amazing in his travels - he has a performance on the mainland 2 days after Camp. I'm looking forward to seeing George perform - missed it last time when he was here. I had his workshop. Also look forward to hearing all you folks play!!

Aloha,
Make sure you all are aware this is an OUTDOOR concert & workshops. Could be foggy or could be hot and sunny (that's what keeps our redwoods looking so good!)
Workshops start at 4 pm, so I would not expect it to be terribly hot after that for the 5:30-8:30 performance. (i.e. bring a sweater!)
