I've had Earthlink (mine is actually Sprintmail but that is because Earthlink took over Sprintmail and I want to keep my sandman address)for a number of years and I find them very responsive to my needs and competitive in price. Sandy

I had a very small local service provider that was very inexpensive. That was their downfall, so they sold their block of residential customers to Earthlink. I've been happy with Earthlink services as well.
Anyway, see if there is a little guy in your area; you may get very reduced rates.
BTW, I'm using Google e-mail now and really like it. It's free.

I just stepped up from a $20/mo local ISP to Adelphia cable internet. It's amazing to me, after nine years of dial-up. It's $43 a month, but I spend a lot less time in front of the computer now. On the cheap, there's always Walmart's www.wmconnect.com and www.netzero.com. Jesse
