Gordon, Lawrence, ebbybody else,
Bring 'em! Feel free to email songs, too. You can send them to jessehj (at) adelphia.net
Lawrence, Retro and others: Please let me know how to you want to credit the song with multiple players, either a group name, multiple individual names or lead player with supporting cast. If there's a group of more than three players, the credit line gets pretty long. If you have a long credit line, I may have to abbreviate it, then put full names in the song description. Perhaps the best way would be to put TP nicks on the CD label, then put full names on the insert. Hmmm.
I have about 30 songs in hand, pushing us to use at least two audio CDs.

Jesse,

I thought you were going to skip labels, but if you do use them
just put the song name on to save space (with 22 songs per CD
it will fill up the label anyway).

Jesse,

The email I sent you yesterday did not go through. It appears that
the last address I used for you is no longer valid. Now that I am
looking I can see you just gave one to use above. I will resend
presently.

Hey Jesse, my weekend got crazy this past weekend so I'm not going to be able to edit Rik and Nancy's stuff until this coming weekend. I will, however, be able to put them up on a server when I'm done so you can download them. Will that be OK?

Craig
My goal is to be able to play as well as people think I can.

Don't worry about being a few days late, Craig. There are a few other contributions that will trickle in early next week.
I've received several contributions in the last few days, so we're up to about 34 songs so far.

Hi jwn,
I have your songs in hand, but haven't been home today (Thursday) to check for another email.
Thanks to all who've contributed, we're closing in on 40 songs.

A bunch of submissions came in today including Leonard R., Rossasaurus and Dusty. Payment and info came in from Gordon, Chunky and Bing.
I have notification from 3-4 people who are stretching the deadline into next week, so if you're at home thinking you've missed the boat, there's still another week or so (so much for deadlines!) for you to submit something.

Hi Jesse,
let me know if my techie got through with 2 songs via MP3 file.
They're the ones with fiddle!
Next year...RULES!
I also sent the song/bio info separately via taropatch e-mail link...so didn't make a copy for myself-- so you may have to remind me what my final titles were!

You may want to give a revised final deadline at some point...

I found the deadline motivating --just glad I didn't know there was "slack"!
So I sang with a cold today...a little color and natural pitch shifting!
So I'm changing my name to Flem Ke Fiddlehopper.
Joe Cocker look out, here comes the New Flem-tone!

Oops, I slip, must call yada-yada 12 step hotline.

Apologies to anyone who has tried to "catch up" on this 10-page thread, but here's one more update.

By the last count, were up to about 50 songs. If we're lucky, they might fit on two CDs. Since I'm still waiting for a half dozen of those songs to show up, I don't know the total time involved and whether it will fit on two CDs. It's an amazing collection of music. You gotta hear Kapila Kane sing! It's great! He's got da Hawaiian soul.
I will try to acknowledge the receipt of music via email or CD, but I may not acknowledge the receipt of a separate shipment of money because it's getting confusing as to who paid and who hasn't, etc. If you forgot, I won't hold it against you. As I said before, I will be bugging folks for extra liner note details if I run short or misplace emails/notes/post-its.
Mahalo, everyone. Jesse

Jesse:

Is $5 going to be enough to cover the cost of this huge collection of songs now? We will send extra $ to help out. Just say the word.

A'ole pilika, Maggie. I'm finding cheap sources for the supplies I'm going to need.
If anyone has sent songs done by groups, which can include TP.net members and nonmembers, I'll need to know if multiple copies are desired or are going to be ordered in the future. It's no big deal, but I don't know who wants multiple copies because a few folks sent $10-$20 as kokua for the project, but may desire multiple copies in return. If anyone is in this position, please email me directly and let me know if there are multiple sets being ordered for your group members, or spouses, etc.
I'll soon post the list of names who will be receiving a CD set so everyone can check to make sure their names are on there.
We have a contributor from Japan this year, Aki Shimura. Welcome, Aki!
Mahalo, again. Jesse Tinsley

My submissions are done. Am I the last one? Looking forward to hearing everyone. I can't thank Jesse enough for spearheading this project and doing all the work! Mahalo nui!
