I have them. Thanks cpatch for helping them out. I'm waiting on the Eugene bunch to send in a few tracks and kihoalukid is sending one more. That should be it. If you're on a late deadline and I've forgotten, don't sweat it. It'll take awhile to tweak these and get them ready for burning. It's great to have some first-time contributors, including Doug Wong, Pua Kai, Mahinam,Pekelo, Aki, Makotom and a few others. It'll be a treat, warts and all. Jesse Tinsley |

Frogs.....No, no, no! I haven't heard anything that resembles croaking at all. Even though I've gotten to hear the songs first, I only hear the mistakes in my songs, no one else's. It might be the same for others when they listen to the CDs. Can you believe we've put up 11 pages on this thread? Yikes. Jesse Tinsley

Mahalos to all who are contributing. We're officially into 3-CD territory with our song numbers in the mid to upper 50s. There is a lot of variety in style and texture, and there are more than 10 originals in the bunch. There are several song titles that appear twice, but it's no big deal. I'll try to put them on different CDs if I can. Important: I made a quick list of people to whom the CDs will be sent. This is different than a list of contributors, which includes groups and single performers. I know I left some off because of my horrible bookkeeping. The list is at http://users.adelphia.net/~jessehj/CDlist.html (I'm trying to keep this short so I'm not posting it here) Please check to see if your name is on there. I'll be emailing some of you for addresses that I have lost or haven't gotten yet. In a few days I'll post another list of all songs and artists to make sure someone's contribution didn't get lost in my computer somewhere. Jesse Tinsley

I'm sorry to use this crude method to figure out my mailing list, but the gathering process has been clumsy with stuff coming via snail mail, email and money coming via Paypal, cash and check. Some sent cash with no return address. Some sent their songs, but money came separately, again with no return address. Some sent multiple iterations of songs as they overcame technical problems. I should have started a spread sheet to keep track of everything, but I was so busy that the envelopes, CDs and emails piled up quickly. I decided I wasn't going to worry if someone paid or not, and just keep it on the honor system. Mahalo again to those who added extra money to the $5 fee to help with costs. It wasn't necessary, but welcome. I will add Bing, Keith M. and RJS to the list of CDs to be mailed. Please keep updating and I'll add the song list soon. Jesse Tinsley |

Jesse - do you prefer paypal, check, or cash? Does paypal take a cut? Yes, I need to send payment.
If you'd like, I can set up a private page accessible only by those on your list. People could post necessary information like name, address, etc. Jesse, you'd be able to go in and mark whether payment was received. We could also centralize the collection of song notes there too. If this would make the process easier, let me know. It is easy for me to do. |

Good Idea Andy,
If this private list allows editing, we could all build the mele information sheet together (kind of like building a wiki together).
That way Jesse does not even need to worry about publishing it.
Whadda ya tink?

Sounds like I joined the 'patch just a little late for this project!!! I can't wait to get to know all'y'all (Texan plural for y'all). I'll be laughing hard one minute and tears in my eyes the next wishing we were back on the Big Island (ohana - Hilo side)
Gonna practice up alot for next year's CD. I understand the reasons to limit distribution to the contributors, but I would have liked the chance to order a CD set.
Aloha to all.

HOT,
Maybe some of the contributions will make it to the Soundclick page and you can hear them there. If you don't know about it already, you can hear many of the same people at:
http://www.soundclick.com/pro/?BandID=38765
Enjoy,

I posted earlier in this thread that I do intend to update the SoundClick page (also at http://www.soundclick.com/taropatch) once the CD is finalized. I'll go ahead and start a new topic on it. |
