Hi Fez,
I've played those `ukuleles and both are good. However, I'd go with the KoAloha for a few reasons: The way it's built - the sound just projects so much, the consistency of the neck, tone quality, action, etc.
Hope this helps!

Two ukuleles are sufficient to choose one of your liking, because design differs.
Because there is a difference in the feel that even, which held sound, you had better confirm it with a self than you ask it to a person.
It is because you are the ukulele that should love from this.

Fez...I own both a Koa KoAloha and a Koa G String. I would recommend KoAloha hands down. Not that G String isn't a good uke, but I agree completely with Brittni's response. The tone is very different and the KoAloha sounds much warmer and has much better feel and intonation...it's a better made uke in my opinion. If you do have a chance to try them both out and do a compare between the two, that's where you'll be able to apply your own tastes to make the decision.

I own a KoAloha Tenor and love it. You get quality and tone in what you pay for. Listen to Brittni's music, Daniel Ho, Gordon Mark, or Herb Ohta, Jr. to hear what can be accomplished on this fine instrument. There is a reason why Roy Sakuma had a hand in getting these instruments to market.

Hi all,

just my 2 cents worth. I've heard both Koaloha and G string. While both are fine instruments, my taste seems to go more toward the G string. I've heard some wonderful instruments made by this company and while the Koalohas are good, none of them really grabbed me.

I'm sure your purchase will be excellent. Remember, all opinions are just that, opinions. Depending on your ear and the instrument that you buy, conditions are entirely different.

Aloha,

Curtis
