Nothing to do with slack key, but I just returned from a moving candlelight vigil which took place at the Tower of Remembrance (just a couple miles from our home). The monument is constructed from bells which came from a defunct seminary and steel from the North Tower of the WTC.

Me ke aloha,
Andy

Aloha e Andy and Lynette,
A vivid memory of last year came to me today. I was playing my little ukulele under the pinetrees in my garden. The skies were absolutely silent as no planes soared overhead on their approach to San Francisco. I remembered all the wonderful people I had met at Keola Beamer's Aloha Music Camp just weeks before. I was worried about you two, not knowing how close you were to the destruction. It was days before I found out you were OK. Today I am just grateful that I've had the chance to get to know you and so many other exceptional people. A very profound anniversary. But so many good things have came about in the last year, I will hold on to those good memories.
Aloha nui, Julie

Yes, I recall several emails from Aloha Camp alums last year. We live about 26 miles west of Ground Zero and our community was personally impacted. Thanks for the thoughts. No doubt there have been many things to be grateful for in the past year.

BTW, I fixed my link above and here is one more http://www.stshrine.org/announcements.htm

Aloha nui loa,
Andy
