Both concerts are sold out already. It'll be a fun concert we just got through with soundcheck and rehersal. IMHO we sounded pretty good for guys who don't practice. Well maybe I'm just speaking for myself. PM |

“Kotani admits that if he didn't teach on a regular basis, he would only occasionally pick up the guitar.”
When reading Ozzy’s article I was disappointed by the above quote. I’m not sure I believe it.
But, I’d give my first born to have Ozz’s right hand thumb. A double jointed thumb would make striking bass strings a lot easier. |

Bing, Don't forget that when Ozzie was beginning (for the first couple of years) he practiced 3+ hours a day, some days much more. Ozzie's just reflecting that he has a busy life with other interests and slack key is part of his life, but not the consuming passion it once was. Ozzie also does not keep on the "concert/recording treadmill," which is one of the things that keeps professionals practicing.
Personally, I'm glad Ozzie remainsa true to who he is, a human being who likes slack key and plays (and teaches) it very well. Hope you don't get offended, but some pewople put others on a pedestal and get disappointed when their true humanity sneaks out. Some performers even encourage that attitutde. Ozzie never has - and hat's part of why I admire him. |
