Beware...
I tried some acupunture to address some slight right arm muscle soreness...and it must have struck a nerve of something...
It now hurts from the right shoulder down past the elbow.

I must lay off for at least a couple days...
I can still play fiddle, but I was hoping to lay some slack tracks down this week...
we're working on it...
take care of how you address some of our common ailments...

Aside from the acupuncture meridian, there's one muscle group that attaches under the pecs and runs down the arm. There's also a nerve that goes from spinal column down the arm.

If you're accupunturist hit that nerve, best thing to do is give it at least a week's rest.

If it's the muscle, some stretching can help. Hold your hands behind your head, palms facing forward. Go to a doorway and prop your elboes/arms against the sides of the doorway. Slowly walk forward. Don't bend your body. This will put stretch against your arms. When it gets really uncomfortable (don't wait for outright pain) bring your hands down, palms forward, to the sides of your body, about 45 degree from straight up and down - they should still be against the doorway. Keep your body straight and alowly move forward as far as you can. If the muscle is involved, this should help.

Unfortunately an easy movement can be difficult to describe in words.

At a gig I had my left index finger lock up and had a charleyhorse in my left forearm. Gatorade, bananas, tomatoes, and the like. At Puget Sound Guitar Workshop, I met someone who specializes in musicians' injuries and therapies for repetitive movement inflamations. We ain't superpeople.

I'm using the doorway and several other stretches...
I suspect the Acupunturist may have tweeked the nerve...
