Dennis Kamakahi, David Kamakahi, & Aaron Mahi will talk story and perform live at two Hilo radio stations on Wednesday, November 9. Their first stop will be with DJ Brad Freeman at KHBC 1060 AM (khbcradio.com) at approximately 12:00 noon (Hawaii time). At 2:00 P.M. (Hawaii time) they will be hosted by Josh Pacheco at University of Hawaii Hilo radio (radio.uhh.hawaii.edu)where they will be joined by Kalena Silva, director of Hawaiian Studies at UH Hilo. Dennis, Aaron, & Kalena all played together in a band when they were in high school! Ukulele Guild of Hawaii/Big Island Ukulele Guild member Gereald Santiago, who teaches a ukulele building class at Hawaii Community College, may also be a participant. Fans can listen in on the web by going to the UHH radio website. Dennis, David, & Aaron are on the Big Island for the 4th Annual Ukulele & Slack Key Guitar Institute, which will be held at the Kahilu Theatre (www.kahilutheatre.org) November 10-13, where they will perform and teach workshops, along with James Hill, Led Kaapana, Raiatea Helm, Gordon Mark, & Jeff Peterson.
