From Keola Beamer's website, via nahenahe.net:

quote:
11/14/05 - Aloha kakou,

My dear mother, Nona Beamer recently underwent heart surgery at Queens Hospital a few days ago. She is resting comfortable and recovering nicely from her operation. Her spirits are excellent and yesterday she walked with her nurses down the hallway.

At 82 years old, this has been a difficult time for Mom. Please remember her in your prayers and in your thoughts of aloha. We are comforted by the fact that she has one of the most advanced medical teams in Hawaii and Queens is an excellent facility. We hope to have her back to her home in Hilo by Thanksgiving day to celebrate her health and a new lease on life.

The Beamer 'ohana has requested a no visitors policy at Queens, because we want Mom to rest. Please don't send flowers. Mom suggests if you want to send kokua, please make a donation to the Beamer Family Scholarships c/o Kamehameha Schools, 567 South King Street, Suite 200, Honolulu, Hawai'i 96813.

I thought there might be folks here who would want to include her in their thoughts and prayers.

Me ke aloha,

Debbie

Aloha kakou,

Debbie, I just learned about Auntie's procedure this morning, and have had her in my thoughts ever since. You know how I feel about her. I imagined her smiling face during a hula class tonight and believe me I felt a great strength. I'll continue to keep that smiling face in mind until I see it again.

Me ke aloha,

Tommy

Aloha Ray,I had a lot of trouble logging on to Keola's classes. In fact I couldn't. Try keola Donaghy by e-mail. He is KB's web master. Hopefully he can help you. P.S. Send my wishes also ,Mahalo. Doug
