I had one of my vice presidents and his wife on Kaua’i at of conference this past week. Once I found out about the Slack Key Festival I suggested he change his hotel on his last night and attend. He and his wife were not familiar with Slack Key but he agreed to give it a try after I raved on and on about the music. They ended up watching the entire event and are now converted Slack Key listeners. Although I have been unable to reach Hawaii this year I am fortunate that I am able to attend some wonderful concerts in Whittier CA. In fact I just saw John Keawe and Brittney Paiva last week and they were great.
