What's a mele hula? Music for hula, not necessarily slack key? Will there be dancing?

In this case Mele Hula is the name of the group. My Hawaiian is zilch so I'm hesitant to attempt translation. Judging by the name, I would assume there would be hula.
You can read a little more at www.hapa.com. Their caption reads, "A Celebration of Hawaiian Song and Dance."
I quickly re-read your question. Barry Flanagan plays contemporary Hawaiian music but his playing does include some slack key. |

Clarification regarding the term Mele Hula".
The original tour was last year or so -- featuring some mele (song) and some hula. The promoter hit upon the term "Mele Hula" as a descriptive title for all the shows.
These three upcoming appearances will feature the same combination of mele and hula -- with the mele being provided by musicians who are each standouts, individually (they are not a group).
Should be great fun!
