Jake Shimabukuro will be playing the National Anthem at Madison Square Garden for the NY Knicks -vs- Houston Rockets NBA game on February 5, 2006 as part of the Asian Heritage Day Presented by Allianz Life Insurance of New York. The game is nationally televised on ABC @ 12pm EST, but unfortunately Jake’s Anthem will not be aired.

Booking Agency Change From WMA to APA
Jake’s booking agent, Scott Galloway, left William Morris Agency (WMA) after 9 years to pursue a more influential position with APA, the fourth largest talent agency. Jake decided to make the move with Galloway instead of remaining with WMA.
"We chose to stay with Scott because we wanted to work with him," says Jake. "We were very excited to be with WMA, but for us, it's always been about the personal relationships in business. Scott has been a great friend and supporter since the beginning and he's a great agent. It just feels right."
Galloway will be overseeing the year old Triple A/Alt Country/Blues division for APA Nashville and will be able to dedicate more personal attention to his clients.
Jake officially signed with William Morris Agency (WMA) on September 6, 2005.
