Gotta post... really needed this concert. Thanks Barry, Nathan and Charles...and the entire entourage for a great Boulder show on Wednesday.
My Mom passed away on Monday Feb. 20th. To keep back the rain, we had to let our hears sing a little last night. Of course it rained anyway, but just noe ahi ahi. Perhaps downpours from time to time next few weeks...but I'm thankful... 90 plus years...and I got to share almost 54 of em. You're the new Hoku in the Heavens Mom. Say hi to Dad, Grams, Gramps, Mary and all our Dearest Hoku...we'll be along soon enough. And thanks Grandpa John for the helping hand.
When our hearts stop...another song begins. Thanks to Brother Ken and family for making Home Hospice work...and to St. John's Hospice of Denver. And so many others, Mahalo. There are angels among us.
About Hapa...Bought the Maui dvd...looks and sounds wonderful. This should be brought to PBS Colorado's attention... it would make a great fund-raiser!... And good for what ails us...
Got Hapa up there? If not, call Wendy at KUNC. Just Booked my flight for June to Maui...That, the Rockies, and a little whispering guitar might just get us by. Aloha Kapila

Gordon, out thoughts are with you as you experience these huge chances in your life. It is without a doubt a most difficult time, when you lose the very people you have known longer than anyone else on earth...
You have a special blessing when you can look up into the evening skies and know that your loved ones are there shining for you. You are right, we'll all be along soon enough.
Gordon, the strength that keeps you going will allow you to recall the good memories. Keep those in your heart always. We are looking forward to seeing you in June, maybe then you can tell us more about the special things you remember about your dear mother. And as always, you are never alone.
Hugs, Julie |
