Aloha everybody,
I wish you ALL could have been here in La Honda last September for Aloha in the Redwoods fundraiser for our schools with Ledward Kaapana w/Rodney Johnson, Bwop & the Wing Ohana Band, and Hiram Bell performing...but NOW you can ...VIRTUALLY!
(Unfortunately we were unable to request permission to record Hiram before he went onstage for an awesome opening performance, and we did not want to do so without his permission...so we offer you the live recordings of Led, Rodney & Bwop.)
Ledward & BWOP were so gracious to allow us to record the concert and take photos, so that we could stream it across the network, to help with our fundraising campaign.
Organization and promotion of this entire event and all webcasting & media preparation was done by dedicated parents and unpaid VOLUNTEERs. The HIGH QUALITY webcasting and digital media player was created also voluntarily, by my husband, Michael Shaff, who does this type of work professionally for many bands and record companies. (The poster art is my own watercolor, painted on the east end of Moloka'i in 1993.)
YOU can now hear the music and photos by visiting the URL below, and if you feel so inclined, make a secure, tax-deductible donation of any amount of your choice to La Honda Educational Foundation. (Our schools are in dire need of additional funds to keep enough teachers, and our music program for the kids...please, any amount will help!)
Now please, check out the music and photos of ALOHA in the REDWOODS here:

Mahalo, and ENJOY!

Aloha,
I hope people are enjoying this web player of Aloha in the Redwoods 2005 and getting a little aloha going this winter!
Any feedback would be most welcome, as we hope to webcast these events live in the future as well!
Unfortunately we have had some snags with the online donation option, but meanwhile, we welcome any donations sent in the mail to:
La Honda Educational Foundation - Aloha PO Box 225 La Honda, CA 94020
Mahalo a hui hou,
Karen |
