K-den, here's the notice. The "every last Thursday of the month" kanikapila is a go for this March 30th. 6:30pm is the start time.
Place is Nani's Donuts, 20942 Mission Blvd, Hayward, Ca.

Bring your guitar, ukulele, voice - shucks Shawn usually brings da hol hale - and join us for an evening of fun Aloha style music. Remember to share a mele. If it ain't in da "He Mele Aloha" book, have a copy to pass around (copier available if needed).

A Hui Hou, Sil

Get your guitar, uke, voice, music etc. ready!!! We are still a "go" for this Thursday @ 6:30pm. Address is:

Nani's Donuts, 20942 Mission Blvd, Hayward, Ca

We'll try and make more room. The Cowtown Kani showed that it was good to have some applification for all you who pa'ani, as well as more mics for ease of the vocalists. Also since I am so lolo, gonna have name tags, will help to remember the new faces too.

FYI, da Ka'au Crater Boys choice is gonna be "Opihi Man" (get ready to rip Joe). Since it is not in the "He Mele Aloha", I'll have plenty of copies to go around. Just as a reminder, key theme is "share the mele".

A Hui Hoa, Sil

P.S. Best way to show your mahalo to Nani's is to buy that donut, coffee, ice cream, refreshment, early.

Another terrific time at the "Kani @ Nani's" last night! Even though the tables/booths were moved around it was still a tight squeeze for the 20+ participants. More enthusiastic playing and singing by everyone with outstanding pa`ani by Uncle Charlie St. Germain on steel guitar, Joe Ho on ukulele and Art Antonio (co-proprietor of Nani's) on electric. Throw in keiki singing and dancing along with ono grinds and you have a local style kanikapila. Once again everyone reluctantly left while looking forward to the next one. Jerry, you need to set up the next "Cowtown Kanikapila" to shorten the time in between the two kanikapila. All pau for now...
