Hello!! I am 20 and currently going to school at the University of Puget Sound in Washington. My home is in California where I was born and raised, but my heart is in Hawaii. I started playing Slack Key a year ago, and it was my dad who got me into it. My love for all things Hawaiian came from my mom and my dad, to whom I owe everything. He has been on TaroPatch for awhile now, but I jsut recently decided to see what all the fuss is about. So, Aloha to you all. JimC, aloha and mahalo for bringing me to the music.

Thanks to "Ilio Nui" for bringing Kevin Brown by the house last year. That was the spark that lit the flame for Allison's desire to play slack key and boy she hasn't stopped since. kid's doin good

Aloha Allison
Hapakid's right: The patch seems to be a little weighted toward us with gray(ing) hair/no hair, and with some very notable exceptions (no offense intended to any wahines), guys. Great to have some younger hawaiian music enthusiasts and more women (no offense intended to any Kanes, either).
This is a great second ohana.
BTW, every time I see a post or reference to your dad I keep thinking maybe my brother has joined the patch
E komo mai.
