I just purchased a tenor uke. I wanted to purchased the book IZ-the songbook collection. So I could learn to play Panini Puakea. I read that the tabs are incorrect is this true. I do not want to purchase the book and have the tabs be wrong because that would really screw me up. I heard the tabs are right for the guitar but wrong for the uke. If This is true that sucks because Iz played the uke not the guitar so you would think they would have got it right for the uke tabs. Does anybody have the tabs for panini puakea for the uke? I purchased "Hot Hawaiian Nights" hoping to gets some pointers but that didn't help.

Chad,
I have the book at home, play both ukulele and slack key guitar (a little tight key when I HAVE to) and will look it over. You might send an email to "Dominator" direct to see if he has any experience with this one song. Welcome to the TaroPatch.

There was a pretty in-depth discussion of this book last spring on this board describing the book's potential shortcomings for ukulele players. Here's how I "searched" to find the previous post:

I just got the book in (will read that other post) and it looks to me as though it was written with both guitar players and uke players in mind. I compared what I found on the web with some of the songs and it looked OK. Anything that is doubtful, one can lay the chords down with a little effort (I use Chordwizard, awesome tool). Hey, its better than nothing and it supports IZ's ohana.
