Rare Honolulu Performance: Saturday, June 10th @ the rRed Elephant

Since last summer, John has been traveling frequently and as a result, he has not played in public often in Honolulu. We are therefore very excited about an upcoming performance at the rRed Elephant. The rRed Elephant is acoustic marvel, opened recently by two highly-talented studio engineers (each of them has recorded a number of impressive and successful albums - mostly in Los Angeles). The approximately 100 capacity room is extremely intimate with detailed, yet warm sound - the perfect venue for tuning into John’s soulful voice and acoustic stylings. For a taste of the stellar vibe, check out their fantastic stage: Live @ the rRed Elephant. Making the venue even more appealing is its location in the heart of the blossoming, vibrant art scene in Honolulu’s Chinatown district.

Kelly Slater DVD – ‘Letting Go’
Three of John’s songs are prominently featured in the new Kelly Slater DVD, “Letting Go”. The main feature opens and closes with “Island Style”. In addition, “Shine On” and “Kahala Moon” each serve as the musical centerpiece of two bonus segments. All of the tunes provide for a wonderful backdrop to the surfing action and interviews. We are fully stoked on the video and look forward to continued partnerships with Kelly and Quiksilver. The video is now widely available at surf shops around the world. Recording Plans & Touring
We are currently scheduling the recording of John’s next album (very excited – John has soooo many great songs for the album!). As soon as the recording is booked, we will be making tour plans for the East & West Coast. I will keep everyone posted on both the recording project and tour dates.
